The countdown has begun

With less then a week to go before her SuperBowl Halftime performance Beyonce is doing everything in her power to make sure we know....SHE'S BACK.

On instagram she's been posting pics of her practicing and the excitement is real people. It's to the point now where people are saying "There is a football game going on at the Beyonce concert" lol. Not only is this her official live performance of 2013 but she will finally debut her new single from her upcoming album due out in April.

Rumors of a possible Destiny's Child reunion during her performance have been confirmed but yet been denied so we will just have to wait.  A lot of media outlets have got a chance to preview her HBO documentary and it's getting rave reviews. Of the many things she will talk about including her childhood, her family and life being wed to JayZ she's also blasting back about the fake pregnancy rumors. She even dives into her having a miscarriage two years prior to announcing her pregnancy with Blue Ivy.

The year of B has arrived.

Chris Brown at it again

Ok the shenanigans of Chris Brown is really becoming too much for my soul lol.

So last night TrueFAN that an altercation broke out at a recording studio between Grammy nominated Frank Ocean and Chris Brown. Frank and Chris are no strangers to each other since they had a twitter beef for quite sometime but last night a fight broke out between both camps which word is Chris actually punched out Frank Ocean.

Police was called but by that time Brown had already fled the scene. Both artists took to social media to address the situation.

Chris Brown posted a picture on instagram stating he was working on his new album and not negativity. He took the picture with friend Mario and other artists.

Kisses Down Low

Kelly Rowland has put out a new single "Kisses Down Low" and I will admit that I have it on repeat. The song is bass heavy with just enough sex to make it a love making jam. The production is just right...not too much. Her vocals were made for this kind of music. Once again I am anticipating this "Year of the Woman" album, if she has more songs like this on there I'll be very impressed.

Check out the song below

Artist Spotlight----Kevin Ross

Originally from the Washington D.C.area (Temple Hills, MD), Kevin Ross has the next meaningful voice of this generation. Kevin's rich tone, creative run ideas, youthful look and piano skills, humbly places him into the category of some of the greatest performers of all time. As a trained vocalist and performer, his engaging stage presence and personality gives him the edge, while industry insiders find the freshness of his voice to be something special, comparing him to artists like Stevie Wonder and the late great Donnie Hathaway. To top it all off, he's extremely charismatic and a true gentleman. He is a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. He received his degree in songwriting. Kevin has worked with such artists as Jamie Foxx, J. Holiday, Akon, Usher, and many more. Ross has won Best Male R&B artist for the 2009 DMV Entertainment Music Awards, Named Best new R&B Artist by AOL Music, and Crowned 106 and Park W.O.W R&B Champion. Ross is currently working with Bu of KonVict Musik/Kon Live and Legendary Producer Troy Taylor (Songbook Entertainment) on his upcoming project.

The Keri Hilson Bash

So let me be clear TrueFAN doesn't have any hatred for Keri Hilson. Keri Hilson is a talented singer songwriter and beyond beautiful. TrueFAN did have a problem with some of the side talk and shady comments toward a bigger artist that TrueFAN stans for. Truthfully speaking it is up for interpretation though. Nobody can say she meant this or she really meant this...I just know what I got out of it.

Besides all that like I said she is a very talented artist. I loved her first album "In a perfect world" but didn't really get into "No Boys allowed". Keri says after taking an entire year off she's ready to bring new music to the world. Music that enlists the talents of Timberland & Polo da Don. These two producers were heavy on her first album and pushed out hits "Turning me on" & "Knock you down". If these 3 working together can pen some songs near those she is going to take the music world by surprise again and challenge some of these other divas on the charts.

Will fans be receptive to her this time around though? Has enough time passed since all of these "open to interpretation" comments? Time will only tell. The first quarter of 2013 is chopped up with major major artists putting out albums.

Justin Timberlake is back

Only once in a generation can you have an artist who is so talented...so suave...so artistic...so engaging...and so beloved that they can drop out of sight and come back with the same energy and hype. The generation before us had Sade, before her it was Marvin Gaye.

People this generation it's Justin Timberlake.

It's been six years since his last album and people had almost written him off from the music scene. He's been a solo artist for ten years and only has two albums to show, but both albums have been masterpieces. He hasn't been out of public eye though, he's done the movies, SNL, and his recent marriage has kept him in the spotlight but now he's going back to his roots and the public can't wait.

Dropping his new single this week "Suit & Tie" ft Jay Z he debuts this new sound he keeps speaking of and even though they say Timberland did this track it sounds an awful lot like the Neptune's inspired music from his first album.

The 20/20 Experience Justin says happened by accident in a letter he wrote to his fans.

"The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn’t expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I’ve had in my career… Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process.
What I came up with is something I couldn’t be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I’ve discovered along the way."

I personally can't wait to hear what's he's come up with...hell he hasn't disappointed us yet. Check out the new single below

Tamar gives us Love & War

Tamar delivered a great song and a great performance with her first single "Love &War"...but that was in December. We are headed into the last full week of January and finally seeing a visual for the song. Hopefully the video will help pick up the album's promo campaign. TrueFAN loves Tamar but she pulling a Kelly Rowland right now and waiting to long to give us the videos for great songs. Album is in stores February 12, make sure you go pick it up.

Check out the video below...and tell me this video doesn't remind you of Mariah Carey's "HATE U" video lol.

Fantasia ready to promo

In the midst of her comments on instagram and the shortly there after retraction. A little good news from Fantasia is needed. Recently on the Steve Harvey show, she announced that her new album would be called “Side Effects” and will hit shelves March 13, 2013. The lead single from the album “Lose to Win” is a song the singer says not only talks about her personal life but her ten-year career in the business.  Working with producer Harmony, she says this album will be a more rock/soul album similar to James Brown & Tina Turner.

Cannot say I am fully rooting for her because of the instagram situation but she is a very talented singer and that is something that is rare these days. Take a listen to her new single below.

Million Dollar chick

Eve is officially back and not taking no for an answer. Usually when an artist is away from their craft for a long period of time it’s as if they are a new artist again when it’s time to come back. The Genre has changed; the fan base has changed but this time Eve is doing it just right. The first of the “old school” females to come back and take charge she has released her video for her first single “She Bad” She raps like her old self but she looks like a million bucks. The rapper/actress recently told interviewers that it was important for her to do this record for the people who loved her from the beginning.

I will say that this is very innovative…sounds nothing like what is on the radio right now. Her official comeback will take place in April when the album drops on her on label Blondie Rockwell Inc.

Beyhive is a buzz

The Beyhive has plenty to buzz about these days. Ever since she announced to the world she was doing the Super bowl Halftime show it has been one announcement after another. Her new single will be released in the next 24 hours; she has been rumored to be on a project with Justin Timberlake. She has just landed the next cover of GQ and killed it. Now she has been the top pick by the inaugural committee to sing the national anthem on January 21 for President Obama.  The New Year is still fresh and you can already see that this year ain’t no joke. Hopefully will hear that she will be performing at the Grammy’s as well.

Beyhive…cross ur fingers lol.
