Album Review--Brandy Two Eleven

Brandy Two Eleven

It has been a good while since people have been this excited for Brandy Norwood. With her acting career back on track, and the cute duet with R&B friend Monica the world was ready for the next chapter in her musical career. When “Put it Down” ft Chris Brown was released there was a mixed reaction to it. Some people like myself loved it because it was something different. It was something that was catchy and a great way to attract a new audience.  Others wondered why this route? Why make a song that probably would have been a chart topper for someone like Kelly Rowland or Ciara. Either way buzz was built and as long as your name is out there, it’s a good thing. As time has drawn near for this album to be released, more and more songs leaked and I became disturbed. I became disturbed because here you have Put it down giving you this new sassy attitude that had not been seen since the Full Moon album and now I am hearing all these slow tempo songs. Furthermore I hadn’t heard any songs that would be worthy of being a successful follow up single. Now that the album is out my worries are correct. The album itself is a very well put together masterpiece but it’s a very shot list of songs you can send to radio and it would do remarkable. To me the stand out tracks are “Put it down”, “Slower” which was written by Chris Brown,  “Without You” which in my book is the most radio worthy mid tempo song. “Do you know what you have” “Hardly Breathing” and my personal favorite “Music”.

Go out and support this album because it was well worth the wait but the industry will not fully realize it unless you go buy it.
