Get Married if you NASTY

This woman is amazing lol. I need to sit down with her and just take notes. How do you get married three times and not anyone know. Not only did she get married but she got married almost 2 months ago...NO NEWS.

She need to teach classes lol.

I'm always the one saying how celebrities have a hard time keeping there life private and they should go to great lengths to keep some things to themselves but damn Janet lol.

I'm happy when anybody finds love and she's been with billionaire husband for awhile now. I wish her all the luck in the world and now she says she's ready to have children, and if she can't she will adopt. I hope she can have them though.

Kelly is slaying

Maybe this time around Kelly Rowland finally gets what she needs to do.

Check the order

                  Kisses Down Low---Hot Song

Super Bowl Halftime Buzz-----Good PR move

                                               Slay the Grammy's with a hot dress-----Check

                                                                  Slay the Oscars Red Carpet------Check

Shoot a hot video for Kisses Down Low-----?

The last one is still to be seen. She has given us a sneak peak into the video and so far so good. She has finally taking a page out of her sister in music Beyonce's book. Get as much press is possible. All press is good press when your about to release an album. No it hasn't been over the top but this is the most I've ever seen Kelly in the limelight....EVER. Somebody in her camp is finally doing things right and once again I'm excited for the new album.

YESSSSS Miss Kelly...you better SLAY

The Beef with Kandi

By now we have all heard about the So So Def Reunion party and the previous artists who made a huge impact. Kris Kross, Da Brat and Bow Wow was there but the group Xscape was not fully there. Tiny & Kandi did not attend but it seems as though most of the blame has been put on Kandi.

For years the rumors were that Latocha Scott spread a vicious rumor that the group broke up because Kandi slept with Jermaine Dupri (which Kandi denies). Kandi has never really forgave her for that. Years have passed and Kandi has done quite well for herself. She's wrote hit songs for Pink, Destiny's Child, TLC and herself. She's a staple on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta", has her own toy line and the money just keeps coming.

It's funny how when years later after groups break up it's always the unsuccessful ones that are super excited for a reunion. Tiny is filming the third season of Family Hustle with husband TI, and Kandi has a million things better to do so I don't feel any kind of way about her skipping the event. There wasn't going to be another Xscape album anyway because music isn't on that vibe anymore. You see how the SWV reunion album did...

May I add Kandi is looking hella sexy in her Rolling out Cover :)

From the Corner to the Corner Office

Forget the gold chains and gold rangs...bring me the huge checks and the investment portfolios.

Over the years hip hop has become just a tad bit more shallow and a lot less poetic. The days of having lyrical albums such as Jay Z's "Reasonable Doubt" or Nas epic album "Illmatic" we are not stuck with Trinidad James & 2 Chains.  The days of social conscience rap is done and the years of mindless music has taken over. Only a few artists have been able to stay relevant from the 90's but the difference with Jay Z is that he's about his business and has now given the industry another reason to kiss his feet.

He just signed a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music that will make him the master of all the music he's ever done. By the end of 2014 every thing he's done since Reasonable doubt will be at his command. Which mean anytime someone wants to re do his songs, use his songs in a movie, stream his songs online he will get cut a nice big check.

It gets better though

With this deal Warner Brothers will also give him copyrights over the music of other artists music that is under his Roc Nation roster. Meaning his writers who wrote hit songs like "Grenade" for Bruno Mars and some of Kanye Wests biggest hits will be at his disposal. You can call Jay Z ugly, you can call him undeserving of the Queen but one thing you can't deny is that he has built his empire very well and if he didn't rap another verse he would be wealthy until the day he is buried.

Speaking of the queen...it is rumored that she will also sign a similar deal with Warner Brothers that could possibly give her copyright power over everything dating back to...you guessed it "Survivor"

I Love Pink

Gotta Love Pink

I've said for years that Pink is a very underrated artist. She has sold millions of albums, launched hit single after single and one of the few females who takes pride in her stage shows. One thing I do miss is the R&B feel that made me first fall in love with Pink.

Let me take you back for a sec.

The year was 2000 and we all survived Y2K. I was a senior in high school and I turned on MTV and saw this pink headed white girl belting out a song and riding her motorcycle into the condo of her boyfriend. Thus the album "Can't take me Home" became a huge deal for me. She was sexy, she was sassy and she had the voice to back it up.

Don't get me wrong I love the pop rock music that Pink does but a part of me longs for another urban album from her. She can sing absolutely anything because of the natural soulfulness of her voice but I almost want to sit her down with Ne-Yo or Brian Michael Cox and see what they could come up with.  In a recent concert in LA Pink relived her R&B days...something she rarely does. Take a look.

Billboard...TOO MUCH

I'm 30 years old and I thought the purpose of the billboard charts was to manage album sales, single sales and within the last six to seven years digital sales.

Now billboard says You Tube Videos will also help determine chart dominance.

“Billboard and Nielsen announced today the addition of U.S. YouTube video streaming data to its platforms, which includes an update to the methodology for the Billboard Hot 100, the preeminent singles chart.
The YouTube streaming data is now factored into the chart’s ranking, enhancing a formula that includes Nielsen’s digital download track sales and physical singles sales; as well as terrestrial radio airplay, on-demand audio streaming, and online radio streaming, also tracked by Nielsen.
Billboard is now incorporating all official videos on YouTube captured by Nielsen’s streaming measurement, including Vevo on YouTube, and user-generated clips that utilize authorized audio into the Hot 100 and the Hot 100 formula-based genre charts – Hot Country Songs, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, R&B Songs, Rap Songs, Hot Latin Songs, Hot Rock Songs and Dance/Electronic Songs – to further reflect the divergent platforms for music consumption in today’s world.”

--Billboard.com

I hate this idea. I understand that billboard is trying to move into the times and capitalize on the youtube craze but to have music views on youtube determine where an artist charts at is horrible. It defeats the purpose of pushing the single to radio...just make sure people go watch the video. I have a feeling there will be a backlash against it.

Jennifer Hudson preping

Seems J-HUD is keeping busy

Not only will she be performing on the Oscars this weekend.
Not only does she have a reoccurring role on NBC's "SMASH"
She's ready to release a new album as well.

I ain't mad at her.

Jennifer Hudson leaked to the press that she's hard at work on her new album and hopefully sometime this fall to have it ready to go. A big fan of her "I remember me" album and I hope she can recreate that magic on the third album. Can't wait to hear new music and the great part is if she comes out in the 3rd or 4th quarter...nobody is going to be releasing anything lol.

The Push Back begins

It's not surprising anymore to see artists start promoting there albums and then at the last minute push it back.

It can be any number of reasons but this year I believe it's called "Beyonceitis". Since December the promotional train has been full steam ahead for "Beysus" and a lot of artists can't and won't compete with this kind of fire power.

Fantasia has pushed her album back to an "unspecified date" which means she's not even sure if it's coming out or not. I was feeling her "Lose To Win" single but with no video to promote it, no live performances and not even a visit to 106 n park it was a losing battle. I'm sure the recent press she's received about her anti gay comments didn't help the equation but coming out with an album around the time the Beyoncé rain storm comes is plum dumb.

Tamar is learning this as well...or should I say been told this. Her album had a release date of February 12 and I was really anticipating it. The powers that be in her camp decided it wasn't a smart move to put the album out within the Superbowl/Grammy/Documentary time frame. I'm hoping it comes out very soon. However I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't a scare tactic but a way to put both artists against each other. The buzz from Love & War has almost fizzled out. Rumor is "Hot Sugar" will be her second single and will be released around the time the album is coming out. Tamar please hurry up and put this album out before April. You do not want to compete with Queen B.

Not that anyone was fully checking for Ciara but her "One Woman Army" still has not seen the light of day in the US. Maybe she's pulling an Amerie and will just keep her music overseas. Anyone can chart outside the US lol.

Life is but a Dream

I could start this off by saying "She did that", or "What the haters gonna say now" or even the now famous "Any Questions".

What I will start off saying is...I'm proud of her. I'm proud of her as a fan. She has been so private about her personal life for so long I know this took so much courage to do. I'm sure a lot of things are still on the cutting room floor but this in itself was a lot.

She started the whole documentary expressing her concerns and sadness about letting her father go as her manager and pretty much went from rumor to rumor through the 90 min film. I'm proud that she is gifted enough to entertain us the way she does and still seem so humble. I loved how she READ THE MUSIC INDUSTRY FOR BLOOD. She only said what most people already know. And a lot of folks will take her read as a slight read against Rihanna because I'm not gonna lie she was the first person I thought of when she said it.

For 90 mins we got a chance to watch her behind the scenes, learn some deep secrets and just listen without judgement about her life. Yes I still have some questions but overall I am happy for her and enjoyed what was put together. The scenes of her and Jay Z were remarkable and there is no denying how in love they are. And I heard snippets of her possible new single as well.

This is the year of Beyoncé and I'm excited. I know the music will come soon...she wants to perfect it....

She is sensitive about her shit!!!   lol

Grammy's 2013

As I thought I wasn't impressed by this years awards show, but it did give me plenty to laugh about.

Let's start with last years grammy queen Adele
Photo: 55th annual Grammy Awards Red Carpet Arrivals-Adele

When I tell you this dress pattern will keep me giggling all week. HORRIBLE

To her credit though she took a Grammy home tonight for "Set fire to the rain". It's almost crazy how she is still winning awards off an album that dropped two years ago.

Then we move on to the craziness with Frank Ocean and Chris Brown. The shade that was thrown when Mr. Ocean beat out Chris for the award. He couldn't even get up and clap...this is why he's hated.

Rihanna had me in stitches tonight with her two performances. Granted we all know that she is not a vocal powerhouse by any means. I thought it was a bad performance....but then she came back out for the Bob Marley tribute and well...it got worse lol. I never want to hear another Rihanna Stan speak of Beyoncé lipgate.

Beyoncé decided to keep it simple and wear a pants suit. I didn't like it but I didn't hate it either. It was just...Eh
Photo: 55th annual Grammy Awards Red Carpet Arrivals-Beyoncé

Kelly Rowland was the standout in her dress though. When I tell you Fashion loves her!!!! That dress was SITTING...and she ain't owe me nothing.

Alicia Keys finally did something right....SHE LOWERED THE KEY ON THE SONG. She finally sounded tolerable and she got her Sheila E on.

Photo: 55th annual Grammy Awards Red Carpet Arrivals-Frank Ocean
There were a few other moments such as Kelly Clarkson killing the stage and showing why she is the best vocalist of the American Idol winners. Frank Ocean had a good night but his performance was not good at all. The song choice was horrible, the execution was horrible and the attire he wore while singing was horrible. He is a very talented artist but he let his nerves get the better of him tonight. Even during his acceptance speeches he seemed off and not quite ready for prime time. Maybe he should've puffed with Rihanna backstage before she show lol.

The Grammy's have fallen off more and more every year and to the point now where they only give out about 7 to 8 grammy's and fill the rest of the 3 hour time slot with performances. All the R&B awards are pretty much given out before the show even starts so before the lights even went off we knew that Beyoncé won her 17th grammy for "Love on Top".

Forget the Grammy's...give me the BET Awards anyday.

Rihanna won't be alone

This Sunday at the Grammy's Rihanna won't be taking the stage alone. She will be joined on stage with Bruno Mars and Sting. Not sure what they will be singing but I'm sure in true grammy fashion it will be memorable.
Rihanna and Bruno Mars

Beyonce's Still on Top

So let me first say that I'm still a little disappointed that Beyonce did not debut her new single last Sunday during the superbowl. However after further deliberation I understand why.

Her performance was damn near flawless and killed the viewer ship. She literally killed the stage and flipped the switch as she walked away lol. Doing a set of her hits including "Crazy in love", "Single Ladies", and "Halo". Some question some of the song choices such as doing "Baby Boy" but the performance slayed down and she proved how polished and ahead of any other entertainer in the game in the last 10 years. A Highlight for me was seeing Kelly and Michelle join her on stage for a quick Destiny's Child performance. Kelly Rowland looked flawless and almost stole the show. You can tell she's become so much more comfortable on stage however some would wonder if this confidence Superbowl Sunday came because she wasn't the vocal point of the performance.

Check out the reactions from twitter...

The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour

This is what fans have been waiting for. Because of her pregnancy she did not go on tour in support of her "4" album but this time she's doing a world tour kicking off April 15 over seas. Social media has been in a uproar ever since and to the point where the beyonce site crashed from all the viewershiip trying to get presale tickets. The haters can say what they want but one thing that can never pop out there mouth is that she doesn't put on a good show.

TrueFAN spent half of Monday trying to defend the craziness people say "She does the same thing" and blah blah blah. All artists have there own niche, Janet been doing that cha cha dance move for years during her performances. Tina been performing "Proud Mary" the sameway for over 40 years. Mariah always puts that finger to her ear trying to make that note come out for years. The problem is Beyonce gives you a broadway stage show and you come to be entertained and she damn sure does it.

TGT talks about sex

Sex Never Felt Better

Following in the footsteps of LSG, TGT (Tyreese Ginuwine Tank) are gearing up for a round of R&B mood music. They have released a new single called "Sex Never Felt Better". No need to ask any further questions about what this song is about

What's really the problem

It's never uncommon for celebrity's to get into a little trouble. Honestly when a star starts out in the business so long we just expect it. Something about Chris Brown just seems very off...the I don't care attitude to all the crap he gets into is just getting old.

We watch the television and we hear how Lindsy Lohan, Amanda Bynes and others continue to have legal troubles and for what...stupid stuff. You hear people say how they have had enough chances and they need to be behind bars to possibly make them understand that there are actions for your behavior.

0205_community_service_photos_footerWhere are these calls for Chris Brown. It seems like every month he is getting into some kind of foolishness. He's either throwing chairs out windows, fighting other celebrities in public locations, domestic abuse and now most recently lying to the courts about doing his community service. Sources say that he was logging 8 hours of work on a normal basis picking up trash but his passport says otherwise. It's one thing to embrace the bad boy persona you have received but it's another thing to continue bad behavior and never have to suffer the consequences for them.

Justin Timberlake's 20/20 experience

The 20/20 ExperienceSuit and Tie has become a great comeback song for Justin Timberlake. It's getting played all over radio and now that he's performing at the Grammy's on Sunday he has released his album art and track listing. His Third album called "The 20;20 experience" was a secret project he started last summer and he feels very excited about what he's come up with. During Superbowl weekend he performed two more of the 10 track CD in New Orleans and after the Grammy's he will be performing to a sold out crowd in LA. He most def has heat and can't wait to hear the album due out March 19.

The 20/20 Experience Tracklisting
1. “Pusher Love Girl”
2. “Suit & Tie” feat. Jay-Z
3. “Don’t Hold the Wall”
4. “Strawberry Bubblegum”
5. “Tunnel Vision”
6. “Spaceship Coupe”
7. “That Girl”
8. “Let the Groove Get In”
9. “Mirrors”
10. “Blue Ocean Floor”
