The Push Back begins

It's not surprising anymore to see artists start promoting there albums and then at the last minute push it back.

It can be any number of reasons but this year I believe it's called "Beyonceitis". Since December the promotional train has been full steam ahead for "Beysus" and a lot of artists can't and won't compete with this kind of fire power.

Fantasia has pushed her album back to an "unspecified date" which means she's not even sure if it's coming out or not. I was feeling her "Lose To Win" single but with no video to promote it, no live performances and not even a visit to 106 n park it was a losing battle. I'm sure the recent press she's received about her anti gay comments didn't help the equation but coming out with an album around the time the Beyoncé rain storm comes is plum dumb.

Tamar is learning this as well...or should I say been told this. Her album had a release date of February 12 and I was really anticipating it. The powers that be in her camp decided it wasn't a smart move to put the album out within the Superbowl/Grammy/Documentary time frame. I'm hoping it comes out very soon. However I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't a scare tactic but a way to put both artists against each other. The buzz from Love & War has almost fizzled out. Rumor is "Hot Sugar" will be her second single and will be released around the time the album is coming out. Tamar please hurry up and put this album out before April. You do not want to compete with Queen B.

Not that anyone was fully checking for Ciara but her "One Woman Army" still has not seen the light of day in the US. Maybe she's pulling an Amerie and will just keep her music overseas. Anyone can chart outside the US lol.
